June 2007
Dear KHCS Family,
How long will it take America to wake
up and realize we are at war in 2007? How long will it take for
Christians to quit hitting the snooze button and realize the issue over
which we are at war is religious ideology?
Over the next three newsletters we
plan to bring to light information which will more clearly define this
current conflict. In the remainder of this month’s letter we will look
at what has happened to this point to validate the state of war in which
we are engaged. Next month we will look at the basic pillars of the
Muslim religion which motivates their young believers. In August we will
look at what is on the agenda of the attackers.
Are we at war? Are we hitting the
snooze button and just putting off the inevitable waking up to realize
the war has already begun? Take a look at the facts:
1) In 1979 Iranian students attacked
and seized the American Embassy in Tehran, holding dozens of captives
over 400 days until the very day Ronald Reagan took office as President.
2) In April of 1983 the U S Embassy in
Beirut was attacked and 63 people killed.
3) In October 1983 the U S Marine Corp
headquarters in Beirut was attacked, killing 241 American soldiers.
4) In December of 1983 the U S Embassy
in Kuwait was attacked.
5) In September of 1984 the U S
Embassy in Beirut was again attacked.
6) In April of 1985 U S soldiers in
Madrid were attacked.
7) In August 1985 the U S Air Force
Base in Rhein-Main was attacked, killing 22.
8) In October 1985 the cruise ship
Achille Lauro was hijacked and an American in a wheelchair was executed.
9) In 1986 TWA Flight 840 was attacked
with 4 killed.
Are you still a little drowsy? Let us
continue:
10) In 1988 Pan Am Flight 103 was
downed over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 259, mostly Americans.
11) In 1993 two CIA agents were killed
in Langley, Virginia.
12) In 1993 the World Trade Center was
attacked with a basement bomb, killing 6 and injuring over 1000 New
Yorkers.
13) In 1995 the U S military complex
in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was attacked, killing seven.
14) In 1996 Dhahran, Saudi Arabia a U
S Air Force barracks, Khobar Towers, was attacked with 19 killed and 500
injured.
15) In 1999 the U S Embassies in Kenya
and Tanzania were attacked simultaneously on one summer day with 224
killed.
16) In 2000 the USS Cole was bombed in
Aden, Yemen, leaving 17 U S soldiers dead and score wounded.
17) September 11, 2001! You fill in
your own details here. Remember where you were, what you were doing,
etc., but most importantly remember how you felt when you realized what
was being done!
In spite of the preponderance of the
above listed evidence we still have a multitude of Americans, even a
huge number of elected officials who seem to overlook one very basic
truth regarding our current situation – we are at war! Many would prefer
to hurry back in retreat to the sands of our own shoreline, find a very
softly packed beach, and bury our heads in the sand.
Regardless of what anyone wants to
classify it, we have an enemy who classifies all Americans and
particularly Christians as infidels. Furthermore, through their belief
in jihad, all infidels should be either converted or eliminated.
Paul Sperry, in his book Infiltration,
writes when describing the perfect enemy we face, “American is fighting
a perfect enemy, one protected by religious freedoms and racial
sensitivities. And we have a less than perfect understanding of what
motivates the enemy, and how it is aided and abetted by a religious
support network that exploits American culture and tax laws and is
patiently infiltrating the American system to overturn it from within.”
(p. 328).
Are we trying to instigate an uprising
against Muslim people? No - Not at all. To paraphrase something you
probably will recognize – Jesus loves them, this I know, for the Bible
tells me so.
Rather than writing a small book we
will be looking into this subject in detail over the next few months.
What do they believe? What is their goal? What do they want? How should
we as Christians react? Stay tuned!
Here at KHCS we are striving to
constantly improve the information and inspiration we give to you daily.
We are asking for your continued support of this radio ministry, both in
prayer and donations. If you have not helped in the support of ministry
lately, I would ask you to pray about becoming a committed monthly
ministry partner. This is what keeps us on the air.
